To celebrate a year of Aloud Plugged Nights, Aloud and Gibson are inviting five bands back for a very special ‘Best Of’ show at London’s fantastic venue The Fly, (New Oxford St, W1) on Thursday 27 September.

Obviously in the year we have been hosting the events, all of the acts have been great – that’s why we presented them to you – but five acts in particular stood out, and other people have noticed too! There have been record signings, festival slots and lots of airtime!

So, Let Aloud introduce you to….

The Toy Guns
Regal Records liked what they heard from this lot and promptly signed a record deal with them. As well as that, the guys have trounced the opposition at Radio 1's Fresh Meat competition, XFM Unsigned (twice?!) and been playlisted on XFM and Virgin Xtreme.

Hungover Stuntmen
When not gigging up and down the UK, the Newcastle lads were busy working on recording their debut album, produced by none other than Duran Duran’s Andy Taylor. What’s more, the boys headlined a show at Ibiza Rocks at Manumission, supported the great Mr Paul Weller and toured with The Kooks and The Subways.

Pinstripe
As well as signing a record deal South West Recordings, the guys hailing busied themselves this summer playing sets at Glastonbury and the Unleashed Festivals and getting their tracks played on Radio 1, BBC6 and XFM London.

The Electric City
Electric by name and nature, the intense live shows of this quartet have got people talking. The band have played at the world renowed Benicassim Festival, played a support slot with rock legends The Who, played countless shows and still found time to release brilliant single ‘Sleeping With The Enemy’.

Bluebird Kid Clark
These Manchester melody makers have recently appeared on T4’s Popworld, appeared in a documentary made by Playstation in conjunction with Manchester International Festival and payed a live set for XFM Manchester. They have been busy boys!
