The Poundland Dolls DJs and Backlash Magazine fuse forces to introduce a brand new club night at one of the most established rock'n'roll venues in London. BACKLASH CLUB brings you the hottest new bands, guest DJs, underground cult heroes, all manner of surprises and floor-filling escapades at the Barfly every 2nd Thursday of the month.

You'll hear the coolest cuts of good old rock'n'roll, good new rock'n'roll, indie, electro, bubblegum pop, hip-hop, blitzkids-revivalist, punk, post-punk, pre-punk, lover's rock, dub, soul, new-wave, altcountry, pop, 60's garage/underground/psychedelia, motown, northern soul, reggae, 80s electronica roots, glam, girl groups, and some other bits they feel you should hear...and be prepared to cheer wildly when one of them accidentally presses the 'off-button' instead of 'eject'. THIS MONTH:

No Picasso: (headlining) are turning the identikit-indie world on its head with a messy and downright nasty aesthetic of shouted harmonies and quite terrifyingly catchy melodies. They are set to tear 2008 wide open and have supported the likes of Babyshambles, DPT, and have already filled every club in London with obsessive fans.

Little Death: a Transatlantic mix of freaky pop songs and eerie guitar, you'll swear you loved them when you were thirteen. Levi's says they're ones to watch...we think so, too
