Thursdays are the new Fridays so the Poundland Dolls DJs and Backlash Magazine have fused forces to put on a club night for all those kicking out at school-night curfew and welcoming the weekend one day early. BACKLASH at THE BARFLY brings you the hottest new bands, guest DJs, underground cult heroes, all manner of surprises and floor-filling, adrenalin-inducing escapades every 2nd Thursday of the month.
You'll hear the coolest cuts of good old rock'n'roll, indie, electro, bubblegum pop, hip-hop, blitzkids-revivalist, punk, post-punk, pre-punk, dub, soul, new-wave, altcountry, pop, 60's garage/underground/psychedelia, motown, northern soul, reggae, 80s electronica, glam, girl groups and more. So it’s only a few hours til the alarm clock goes, would that have stopped The Ramones? We don’t think so. Come to Camden and join the Backlash.

POUNDLAND DOLLS
With record bags bigger and heavier than they are, the Poundland Dolls have graced the decks of some of London’s top clubs including Punk and The Embassy before launching an all out assault on the week-night at their own monthly club at The Barfly. The Dolls’ gonzo-style DJing throws up a genre-defying mixture of everything to make you dance like an over-excitable kid at his first school disco. Listen and love.

Backlash is a quarterly music magazine and the idea behind it is simple - to produce a zine about music that actually is about music, whatever its genre and whatever the current trends or fashions. Backlash covers a wide and eclectic range of music and promotes the many bands and labels, popular or otherwise, who we truly believe in.
